As parents, we all want to create the best opportunities for our children. In doing so, we seek out youth sports organizations that will prepare our children with the physical skills that will bring them success on the field. But we also know that the intangible virtues acquired through sport – integrity, determination, and respect for authority to name a few – are just as important in molding our young athletes into successful young adults. The most successful youth sports organizations blend these guiding principles in a way that stimulates its participants and energizes their communities.
Today, two time-honored youth sports organizations in the local area are joining together as one to strengthen the youth baseball experience in the Ambridge area. Starting with the 2022 Regular Season, Bridger Baseball Association and Baden Youth Association will be merging to form the Ambridge Youth Baseball Association.
Over the past few months, leaders from both organizations have been working on the logistics of the merger. The groundwork to a successful merger is actively underway and newly elected board members from both organizations will continue working throughout the off-season to ensure a smooth transition.
Collectively, we believe that the formation of the Ambridge Youth Baseball Association will foster an excitement amongst players, their families, and the larger community that will spread both on and off the field. By enhancing the playing experience for youngsters just getting started playing the game, we intend to help shape the future success of baseball in Ambridge at all age levels.
We hope you’ll join us in celebrating this achievement as we make the announcement official during the Ambridge High School Football game on Friday, September 3, 2021. Any youth player who wears a Bridger Baseball or BYA baseball jersey will receive free admission to the game. All players will sit together as teammates in a reserved section of the stadium. We’d love to see a great turnout of players and their families to show support for the merger as well as to support the Ambridge High School football team.
